A Message From Peter Hernandez
Looking Forward to 2024.
I’m proud to announce that I’m running for California Congressional District 18 in 2024! It’s been an incredible experience to travel this new district and embrace it’s distinctive communities. From lettuce fields and vineyards, trucking and industry, and small businesses everywhere, I truly feel that “I Am District 18.”
My parents were immigrants from Mexico who worked the fields and raised me in the agricultural community of Hollister. Today, as a father and small business owner, I know that American dream and entrepreneurial spirit. I work hard to preserve the blessings of liberty and prosperity to my children.
I love America. I believe in our God-given freedoms, and the Constitutional restraints on government upon which this country was built. I consider my time in office as a civic tour of duty.
I am here to serve because there is a job to do and will never be a career politician. Ronald Reagan said, “When a business or an individual spends more than it makes, it goes bankrupt. When government does it, it sends you the bill. And when government does it for 40 years, the bill comes in two ways: higher taxes and inflation. Make no mistake about it, inflation is a tax and not by accident.”
We must retire out-of-control government.
It is pounding us with alarming levels of inflation, crime and endless spending. We must stop electing elites that enrich themselves at our expense. It’s time to restore America to its heritage of abundance – opportunity, growth, prosperity, and innovation.
It’s time to renew our communities, families, and businesses. It’s time to revive our economy and hold our government representatives accountable to ‘We The People’ and the communities they are elected to serve and protect.

Our country is living in very difficult times because of the division that has been created by allowing individuals to decide which party best represents their values & principles.
To tell the truth, it is very difficult for a person to find all his ideals represented in one party. For example, Latinos & Latinas can find our ideas of a better immigration system in one party, while the other party respects our fundamental rights as living beings. Nevertheless, both parties are working to build a prosperous economy that allows us to have a decent & well-paying job.
I launched a candidacy to unify minorities from California Congressional District 18 and to see our ethnic groups better represented in U.S. Congress. But also to put an end to the unlimited re-elections of a group of legislators from both parties; those who have had permanent power for decades. That’s why I have now considered the only option we have in District 18 to increase the strength of our minority communities is to support the candidacy of:

The inflation-adjusted limits are: The limits on contributions made by persons to candidates (increased to $3,300 per election, per candidate) (52 U.S.C. § 30116(a)(1)(A)); The limits on contributions made by persons to national party committees (increased to $41,300 per calendar year) (52 U.S.C.). Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors, and foreign nationals are prohibited.
